Locations in AssetIT let you manage and track physical assets by assigning them to specific locations. Use this feature to create, organize, and categorize the locations where assets, accessories, licenses, components, and consumables are stored or used.
Creating a new location
There are two ways to create locations:

One by one — Click + Location, fill in the details, and click Submit.

Bulk import — From the + Location dropdown, select Import Locations to import multiple locations at once.
Viewing a location's details
Click on any location to view its details. The detail view shows all resources linked to that location, including assets, accessories, components, and consumables.
Editing and deleting locations
Edit a location
In the Actions column, click the Edit button to modify a location's details.
Delete a single location
In the Actions column, click More Options, then select Delete.
Delete in bulk

Select the locations you want to delete.

From the Bulk Action menu, click Delete.

You are taken to the Confirm Bulk Delete Locations page.

Review the locations that will be deleted, then click Delete.
Note: Locations that are currently in use are automatically disabled and cannot be deleted.
Exporting locations

Locations can be exported for record-keeping or data migration.

Click the export button to download the data in CSV or PDF format.
