Board Creation

The Board Creation process within the Board Select View is designed to be intuitive and straightforward, guiding users through the setup of a new board with ease. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the process:

1. New Board Initialization:

• New Board: Clicking this button will bring forth a menu with a few steps to initialize a new board.

2. Board configuration:

• Board Name: Assign a name to your board to facilitate easy identification and access.

• Board Privacy: Decide on the privacy setting of your board. You can determine if it should be discoverable and accessible by others within the same monday account.

• Shared With: For private boards, this setting allows you to specify the individuals within your account who can find and access the board.

After setting up the initial details, pressing “Next” progresses you to the subsequent phase of configuration.

3. Board Type Selection

In this final step, you will be able to configure the initial appearance of your boards.

• White-board: This option sets your board as a blank canvas with infinite space, offering complete freedom to add, edit, or remove elements as you see fit.

• Lean-board: A more condensed mode for your board, with its size confined within its table, keeping focus on the main elements.

  • Template selection: Choose from a variety of pre-designed templates tailored to different needs, such as Basic or Agile methodologies. These templates are equipped with fundamental elements to showcase the canvas's capabilities.
    

    

  • Include Elements: If the selected template's basic elements are necessary for your workflow, you can opt to include these in your board setup to get started quickly.

At this point, click Finish to start using your board.
