Adding a field into issue screen in Cloud and Data Center

From version 1.3.26-AC for Jira Cloud and 6.3.0 for Jira Server & Data Center, ProductGo allows mapping roadmap dates with Jira fields, date fields must be added to the issue screen, from your Jira settings. Only the issue type with the mapped fields can be planned in the roadmap.

Company-managed project

Adding Jira Fields

To add a Jira field to an issue screen:

  1. Go to Settings | Issues. (Note: You need admin access)

  1. Select Field configurations on the left menu. Find the appropriate configuration and click Configure.

  1. Search for the field you want to add and click Screens.

  1. Select the “Default Issue Screen” for the project

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the list and click Update.

Adding Custom Fields

To add a custom field to an issue screen:

  1. Go to Settings | Issues

  2. In the left menu, select Custom fields.

  3. Locate the field you want. Click the on the far right, and select Associate to Screens.

  4. Select the “Default Issue Screen” for the project

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the list and click Update.

Team-managed project

Team-managed projects don’t have a screen scheme, fields can be added to each issue type directly by going to Project SettingsIssue Types, choosing issue type, drag and drop fields on the right panel to the fields list to add or create a new field

  1. Log in as a Jira Administrator then click on the gear (⚙️) icon and select Issues

  1. In the left-hand panel under the Fields section, click on Fields configuration

  1. Find the field you want to add then click Screens

  1. Pick the project screens you want from the list

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the list and click Update

Add Jira custom fields to issue screen in Data Center
  1. Log in as a Jira Administrator then click on the gear (⚙️) icon and select Issues

  1. Choose Add custom field to create a new custom field or choose from the available ones

  1. Choose the fields you want to add, go to the […] button on the Action column and select Associate to Screens

  1. Pick the project screens you want from the list

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the list and click Update
