AssetIT Panels in Jira Issues

Overview

Jira Issue Panels allow you to configure and customize the AssetIT panels displayed in your Jira issues. These panels help streamline asset management directly within Jira, providing access to essential AssetIT resources and tools.

For Jira Business and Jira Software Project:

The available panels include:

  • ASSET BOOKING PANEL: Allows users to request assets directly from AssetIT within Jira issues. (Refer to the Asset Booking guide)

  • LINKED ASSETS PANEL: Enables linking of any resources from AssetIT to Jira issues for quick reference and management.

Important Note:

Until December 31, 2024, your current data in Atlassian’s External Asset Platform custom field will be synced to our Linked Assets Panel for seamless use. However, this is a one-way transfer, as the External Asset Platform field is scheduled for shutdown.

We recommend starting with our Linked Assets Panel now to ensure continued asset management without interruption.

  • RESOURCES EMBEDDED PANEL: Displays detailed information on all resources assigned to a selected user (default is the Issue Reporter) within a Jira issue.

For Jira Service Projects:

The LINKED ASSETS PANEL in Jira Service Projects lets you link relevant resources from AssetIT to each service request, enabling asset visibility in the JSM Customer Portal.
