Preconditions

A precondition refers to a specific set of conditions or circumstances that must be met or established before a test case can be executed. For example, a user must be logged in, required test data must be available, or the system must be in a specific state before testing can begin.

It defines the initial state, or you can consider it as a Step 0 in your testing process, to run successfully and produce accurate and reliable results. Precondition ensures that the system or application being tested is in the desired state and meets the necessary prerequisites for the test.

Preconditions are optional and only applicable to test cases [Classic Test].

To find Preconditions in AgileTest, go to Classic Test → Preconditions on the left-hand side menu bar.

Preconditions are AgileTest work items only, so you cannot find it in the Jira Board.
