Getting Started

You can easily find GanttTable on the Atlassian marketplace. Follow these steps to install GanttTable and access it on your Jira instance.

1. Go to the Atlassian marketplace and type GanttTable in the search box.

2. Next, click the “Get it now” button, choose a Jira site that you want to install GanttTable to, and click Add app.

Once the installation is completed, you can now start using GanttTable.

Currently, there are 2 ways you can access the app:

METHOD 1

1. To access the app, please log in to your Jira instance as an admin.

2. From the left sidebar (Atlassian’s new UI), locate Apps > Open the dropdown menu > choose GanttTable.

METHOD 2

In the new UI, you can access GanttTable from your project navigator. This is where you can find all the tools you need for a specific project.

1. Log in to your Jira instance and access a project.

2. Locate the new navigator, click More → find GanttTable.

By using this method, the app will generate a board made specifically for your current project.

You'll also find this project board in the Recent section when accessing the app using METHOD 1.

If you cannot find GanttTable from the More menu, please click the ➕ button in the navigator to manually add the app to your navigator.

A portfolio board is a place that contains more than 1 Jira space, allowing for cross-project planning and task management.

To create a portfolio board for multiple spaces, locate the Create portfolio button.

Click + Add more to add Jira spaces as work item sources for the board.

You can always add more or remove Jira spaces from the board in the Portfolio settings.

In the GanttTable app, you can access a specific Jira space directly from the dashboard by clicking the Space tab.

To make GanttTable fully functional, it is recommended to map the Jira fields that you normally work with (such as date fields and progress) and map work item links to dependencies accordingly.

To have a better experience with GanttTable, you should add Jira fields to issue screens and the permissions to Create/Edit/Delete in Company-managed projects.
