Confluence 2.4.0-AC

We have a big announcement to make in this release. ConfluPlan (formerly Routemap for Confluence) is becoming a Forge app!

What is the Forge platform?

Atlassian’s Forge platform is a cloud-based developer platform for building, hosting, and running apps that extend Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. It was introduced to simplify app development while ensuring scalability, security, and integration within the Atlassian ecosystem.

While Forge apps are developed using JavaScript, the runtime environment has some differences from a standard Node.js setup. You can learn more about the runtime reference here.

Why move to Forge?

By building on Forge, Atlassian takes care of the infrastructure through its serverless platform. This allows us at DevSamurai to focus on managing ConfluPlan’s risks effectively while ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and transparency standards.
