[Data Center] AssetIT Panels in Jira Issues - Overview

What are AssetIT panels in Jira Issues? AssetIT panels in Jira Issues are specialized panels provided by AssetIT for managing and tracking IT resources directly within Jira.

There are 3 panels available: ASSET BOOKING PANEL, LINKED ASSETS PANEL, RESOURCES EMBEDDED PANEL

For Jira Business & Jira Software Project:

The available panels include:

  • ASSET BOOKING PANEL: Allows users to reserve an asset directly from within the Jira issue. (Refer to the Asset Booking guide)

  • LINKED ASSETS PANEL: Allows users to link IT assets (like computers, software, or accessories) to a specific Jira issue. Users can not only view the assets linked to an issue but can also update asset details.

For Jira Service Projects:

The available panels include:

  • The LINKED ASSETS PANEL in Jira Service Projects allows users to link relevant resources from AssetIT to each service request, enabling asset visibility in the JSM Customer Portal as well as within the internal support ticket.

  • The ASSET BOOKING PANEL: Allows Atlassian users to reserve assets directly from AssetIT within the JSM Customer Portal.

Note: The Asset Booking panel in the JSM portal is only visible for Atlassian users.
