Reflect stage

The Reflect stage is the first part of the retrospective meeting where team members individually share their thoughts, observations, and feedback.

This stage encourages honest and independent reflection, allowing everyone to express their opinions without influence from others. It helps capture diverse perspectives, surface issues, and highlight successes so the team can later discuss and learn from them effectively.

Reflect stage components

Reflection columns

The columns displayed during the Reflect stage are based on the retrospective template chosen when creating the meeting. Each column corresponds to a category or theme that guides the reflections.

Reflection cards

This section contains all the individual reflections entered by participants, organized under the appropriate columns defined by the template.

Other reflections

You can also view how many reflections other team members have submitted, though the content of others’ reflections remains hidden during this stage to encourage independent thinking.

Start the Reflect stage

Step 1: Input the reflections

All participants type their reflections in the relevant columns. You can add as many reflection cards as you like and edit or delete your own reflections anytime during this stage.

Reflections from other members remain hidden until the next stage to ensure unbiased input.

Step 2: Ready and move to the next stage
