GanttTable has just got a big update with a new version 3.10.0. Moving forward from our Smart column feature, you can now use Custom formulas to make these smart columns even better. The app now also supports Selecting multiple cells with Copy and Paste abilities.

Besides, GanttTable has more features up its sleeve.

New features

1. Custom formulas

In the Smart column of GanttTable version 3.0.0, we’ve decided to take an extra step with the Custom formula. With this new feature, users can quickly create a unique column and field without having to make a dedicated custom Jira field in their instances.

All they have to do is use functions (such as IF, SUM, AVERAGE…) and choose existing Jira fields.

2. Select multiple cells

In this version 3.10.0, GanttTable supports selecting multiple cells in the Table view, using the Shift key with arrow keys. Or, you can also click a cell, then press Shift and click on another cell for multiple selection. Just like in Excel or Google Sheets.

3. Copy/Paste

You can now copy and paste a cell value directly in the app. There is no need to choose the right assignee or type the whole description again.

The best part is that you can combine selecting multiple cells with hotkeys to make bulk editing inline quick and simple.

4. Attachment and Comment column

In GanttTable V3.10.0, we integrated a section to visualize the content of one work item’s attachments and comments.

Here, you can quickly add, remove, and download files, images, and videos from this Attachment section. Meanwhile, you can take a glance at the Comments directly to see notes from other members.

5. Export as images

Last but not least, you can now export GanttTable’s boards or portfolio as PNG images for a complete overview of the task hierarchy structure and timeline on the same page.
