General Settings

The General Settings allow administrators to configure global settings that affect multiple features across the AssetIT platform.

To access this page, go to ⚙️ Settings > image-20250708-044121.png from the left-hand menu.

Below is an overview of each option and its functionality:

General

  • Auto check in all resources: Automatically checks in all resources (assets, licenses, etc.) when a Jira account is deactivated.

  • Enable asset checkout & reservations for JSM customers: Allows checking out or making a reservation for JSM customers. (Learn more: How to manage customers on AssetIT?)

Assets

  • Display deployed status: Shows a " Deployed " label for assets that are currently assigned to a user, another asset, or a location.

Pre-defined kits

  • Auto check out the default Predefined Kit: Automatically assigns the default Predefined Kit to newly activated Jira accounts.

Licenses

  • Set license expiration alert threshold (in days): Defines the number of days before a license expires that the system will start sending notifications. For example, if you set the threshold to 90 days, the system will begin alerting you 90 days before any license is due to expire.

CUSTODY VERIFICATION

  • Require signature for custody verification: Requires users to sign off when filling a custody verification request.

  • Select custody verification fields: Choose which custom fields to include in custody verification requests.

Currency

  • Set default currency: Select the default currency used for recording item purchase costs. This can be changed at any time.
