Only Jira Admins and App Admins can create or update working capacity schemes.
-
Other members can only view the working capacity.
Overview
A capacity scheme defines how many hours are available for each day of the week. You can create different schemes to represent common working patterns, such as full-time, part-time, reduced-hour, or four-day schedules.
Capacity schemes are reusable. Once created, a scheme can be assigned to individual members or teams and used across different capacity periods.
Accessing Working Capacity
To manage capacity schemes:
-
Click on ⚙️ Settings from the sidebar.
-
Select the
Working Capacity in the app settings.
From here, you can create, edit, set as default, or delete capacity schemes.
Creating a capacity scheme
Create a capacity scheme to define a reusable weekly working pattern for members or teams.
To create a new scheme:
-
On the Working Capacity page, open the Schemes tab and select
in the upper-right corner.
-
In the panel that opens, enter a Name for the scheme.
-
Add a Description if needed.
-
Configure the working pattern for each day of the week:
-
-
Turn the day on if it is a working day, then enter the number of working hours in Duration.
-
Turn the day off if it is a non-working day.
-
-
Assign resources
Scroll down to the Resources section to assign the capacity scheme to members or teams while creating it. Use the search field to find and add the resources you want to assign.
-
-
For an individual member, select a From date to define when the new capacity scheme starts applying to that member. If the member already has an active personal capacity period, ProScheduler automatically ends that period on the day before the new start date.
-
For a team, no start date is required. A team capacity scheme has no date range and is used whenever a team member does not have a personal capacity period for that date.
-
-
Select
to create the capacity scheme.
Default capacity scheme
ProScheduler provides one default capacity scheme for each site. It is used when no personal or team capacity scheme applies to a member for a specific date.
The default capacity scheme cannot be deleted, but you can change its working hours.
To edit the default capacity scheme:
-
Go to the Schemes tab on the Working Capacity page.
-
Find Default Capacity.
-
Select
Edit icon in the Action column.
-
Update the working hours or working days as needed.
-
Save your changes.
You cannot delete the default capacity scheme, but you can edit its working hours and working days to match your organization’s standard capacity.
