We've been whipping up some updates to make your asset management experience even smoother! Here's what's new:

✨ New Features

1. Book Assets Directly Through Jira Issues

Tired of switching between apps to book assets for your Jira issues? Say goodbye to that struggle! Now you can seamlessly reserve assets right within your Jira workflow.

2. Implement Custody Verification

Take asset management a step further with our new 🌟 Custody Verification 🌟. Easily confirm who is responsible for each asset, ensuring accountability and clarity in asset assignments.

3. Support for Data Migration from SnipeIT

Moving from SnipeIT to AssetIT? We've got you covered! Access the Data Migration tab in Preferences, and you will find a guide there for your transition ✈️

4. Support for Multiple Auto-incrementing Asset Tags

We know it was painful back in the day when AssetIT only allowed one single auto-incrementing tag for all assets. Those days are over. AssetIT now supports multiple auto-incrementing tags for each asset, giving you the flexibility to better organize and track your assets ♾️

🚀 Improvements

Several enhancements have also been launched. Let’s take a look:

1. Inventory-based Booking Permission:

Remember the option of Inventory when customizing a Permission Scheme of users?

To enhance security, we have fine-tuned permission settings to allow asset booking by inventory 📦.

Users added to a particular scheme can now only book resources from the chosen inventory.

2. “View Assigned Only” Permission:

Another improvement for the Permission setting is the option to allow “View Assigned Only”.

Those who are in this permission group can only see their assigned resources—no more, no less!

3. Displaying Assets Linked to Issues in Jira Gadgets:

Guess what? The AssetIT gadget when setting up the Jira dashboard has been improved! It now can display assets linked to your issues, keeping everything you need front and center.

4. Boosted Import Capabilities:

Realize the new toggle we have just added in Asset Tags? That one is to enable/disable the auto-creation of asset tags during the import data process.

What’s more, AssetIT will also automatically fill in the missing fields or options during data imports to ensure you're all set. 🧙‍♀️

5. Empowered Custom Fields:

• TextBox Field: “Regex” type of text has been added for your customization 🚀

• User Picker Field: AssetIT now allows for multiple selections when it comes to choosing Jira users in this field. 👥
